Ojos Tristes

Ojos Tristes is the coming-out story of 16-year-old Mateo as he travels from El Paso, Texas to visit his struggling-actress sister, Lupita, in Hollywood.

But, what Lupita doesn’t know is that Mateo has plans to meet someone else in Los Angeles; a handsome older stranger who he’s been chatting with on a hook-up app. Lupita’s concerns for her little brother grow as he distances himself from her, and she must find a way to protect him from the dangers of the outside world.
